A work injury is an injury or illness that occurs when you are performing your duties during the course of work activities. Being injured on the job often results in time lost at work, and Workers’ Compensation was designed to provide protection to employees and their dependents from any financial or emotional hardships that are caused from a work-related injury. Injury resulting from employee negligence is usually not covered under Workers’ Comp. Once your evaluation has been completed, the doctor will recommend a course of treatment. Your employer will require a detailed evaluation and diagnosis of your injuries, and a recommended treatment plan from your evaluating doctor. Your treatment recommendation will include ongoing treatment recommendations and a plan to help you recover quickly, so you can return to work in a timely manner.
